From November 17th to 19th, the China International Travel Mart 2023, co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Civil Aviation Administration of China, and the People's Government of Yunnan Province, was held at the Dianchi Expo Center (DCEC) in Kunming. The opening ceremony was graced by Sun Yeli, Vice Minister of Publicity Department of CPC Central Committee and Party Group Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism; Wang Ning, Secretary of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee; Yin Shijun, Chief Engineer of the Civil Aviation Administration of China; and H.E. Ms. Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol, Thai Minister of Tourism and Sports. The Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee and Governor of Yunnan Province, WANG Yubo, hosted the ceremony. Themed "Hello, China!", the mart attracted over 800 international travel merchants and tourism promotion agencies from more than 70 countries and regions.
Under the theme "A Century of CTG: Journey through Stars and Seas", and embodying the ethos of "Integrity Operation and Quality Service", China Tourism Group (CTG) led its eight business units - CTG TRAVEL, CTG INTERNATIONAL, CTG INVESTMENT, CTG Duty-Free, CTG HOTEL, CTG DEVELOPMENT, CTG ASSET, and CTG CRUISE - to showcase over a hundred unique cultural and tourism products, establishing the largest 504 m2 corporate stand at the travel mart. During the event, CTG organized various live product sales and cultural tourism activities. At the "New Cultural and Tourism Products and Routes Promotion and Project Signing Ceremony", CTG ASSET signed an intent cooperation agreement with China Railway Kunming Group on a tourism train project, planning to initiate high-end tourism train services on the China–Laos Railway. Additionally, CTG ASSET's subsidiary, CTG ROAD TRIPS & CAMPING CO., LTD., signed a cooperative framework agreement with the Management Committee of Lijiang Yulong Snow Mountain Provincial Tourism Development Zone to develop a renowned camping project in the Yulong Snow Mountain scenic area. During the "Travel Merchants Night", CTG TRAVEL, CTG INTERNATIONAL, CTG HOTELS & RESORTS, and CTG CRUISE presented their unique tourism products to global buyers, showcasing the diverse tourism formats of China Tourism Group. On November 19th, the China International Travel Mart 2023 concluded successfully, with CTG honored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism with three major awards: Best Stand Award, Best Organization Award, and Best Advertising Award.
