Shenzhen, July 21, 2023 - China Tourism Group (CTG) held its semi-annual work conference for 2023 in Shenzhen as the main venue. More than 170 attendees, including senior members of the CTG leadership team, non-executive directors, assistant to the general manager, secretary of the board, director of travel documents service, various department managers at CTG's headquarters, the Supervision Department, and special organization members gathered. Principals of directly affiliated agencies, management teams of CTG's secondary companies (business groups) and representatives of key tertiary companies also participated via 23 video conferencing hubs spanning cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Haikou, Chengdu, and Sanya.

At the conference, Chairman Chen Yin delivered a speech titled, "Staying True to Our Initial Commitment, Undertaking Our Mission, Addressing Present Challenges, and Planning for the Future: Fully Implementing President Xi Jinping's Directives on Honest Operation and Quality Services, and Promoting Enhanced Management & Services"; General Manager Wang Haimin reported on the theme of "Thoroughly Implementing President Xi Jinping's Important Instructions on Our Enterprise and Industry: Boosting Confidence, Taking Concrete Actions, and Aiming for Better Business Results throughout the Year". The conference was presided over by Director Lv Youqing.

Chairman Chen Yin highlighted that the first half of this year marked the first anniversary of President Xi Jinping's inspection of CTG's Hainan Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Mall. Adhering to the President's exhortation on honest operation and quality services, the CTG has launched a special campaign titled "Year of Enhancing Management & Services" across its entire system. The group has:

Chairman Chen Yin outlined both immediate actions and long-term planning during his speech, delineating six essential strategies for the group moving forward:
- Enhance the effectiveness of execution and go all out to fulfill short-term operational responsibilities.
- Strengthen the perseverance of reform to ensure the smooth progression of annual reform and development tasks.
- Intensify strategic guidance to guarantee solid implementation of short-term strategic deployments.

- Seek groundbreaking long-term reforms and continuously carry out deepening reform enhancement actions.

General Manager Wang Haimin provided a comprehensive summary of CTG's operations in the first half of the year. He fully acknowledged the accomplishments achieved by various units in seizing the opportunities of rapid tourism recovery following the national policy on the pandemic response, adopting multiple measures to increase revenue and cut costs. This approach led to a swift rebound in operational efficiency. He also pinpointed gaps and challenges in the current operational development.
For the key tasks in the second half of the year, General Manager Wang Haimin put forward the following requirements:
