Chairman Chen Meets Mbelwa Kairuki, Tanzania's Ambassador to China

Chen Yin, Chairman of CTG, met with the Ambassador of Tanzania to China, Mbelwa Kairuki, and his delegation at CTG House in Hong Kong in the afternoon of March 17, and exchanged views on future cooperation.

Chen Yin extended a warm welcome to Ambassador Mbelwa Kairuki and his delegation, and briefly introduced the CTG's business layout. He noted that China and Tanzania share a deep traditional friendship and that CTG, as a central state-owned tourism enterprise, has been actively implementing the consensus on cooperation between the leadership of the two countries to promote cooperation with Tanzania in the tourism industry. CTG will promote unique Tanzanian tourism products, facilitating exchanges between the people of the two countries and contributing to a new chapter of friendship and cooperation between China and Tanzania.

Ambassador Mbelwa Kairuki extended his gratitude to Chairman Chen Yin for reception of his visit, stating that both sides will jointly organize activities such as the China-Tanzania Year of Tourism and Culture to promote further development of relations between Tanzania and China on the mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Tanzania and China next year. He hoped to carry out in-depth exchanges and cooperation with China Tourism Group, bringing tourists to Tanzania and promoting local tourism construction and economic development.

Shi Shanbo, Vice General Manager of CTG, leaders of CTG's Overseas Business Department and Strategic Development Department, Miraji Ukuti Ussi, Minister of Tanzania in China, as well as relevant officials of Tanzania Investment Centre, Trade Development Authority, Export Processing Zones Authority and Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority attended the meeting.
